"Pyramids" By Terry Pratchet.
The legendary writer of the fantasy "Discworld". His writing is very smart. But i think its just overrated. But his ideas on having a mega-multi world storyline is quite good. Would try out more of his books in the future.

"Stardust" by Neil Gaiman.
Being a nerd, his comic series of " The Sandman" is a MUST read. But i never expected that he would do good as a novelist too. Would look forward to reading more of his books. The story was shorter than the movie, and more pessimistic than the movie. Not advisable for those that love the movie to read this book. The ending was not as fabulous as the movie.
His book, "Neverwhere" was also a good read.

"Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman.
Incredible how Neil can be so flexible in his writing form and write a modern day fairytale adventure. Good read. Much longer story compared to "Stardust". More action packed, and good character build up. Heard that a TV series was written out of this novel.

"Queen Camille" by Sue Townsend.
Sue Townsend is known for her "Adrian Mole" series. Funny shite, and makes me go "WTF!?" when i read this on the public transport. Full of funny characters and gives a good insight of what the 'royal' dogs talk about in the story.
And do the British people really love their dogs so much? Just a thought.

"Every Inch a King" by Harry Turtledove
I was really thinking whether if a person's name could have 'Turtle' in it or not. Well, this author really does have the animal in his name. Crazy story line and crazy characters. Funny shite.

"War with no end" by various writers
The war in Iraq seems to be like forever. Bush keeps rambling on how the war is now towards Islam Radicalism. And it has become a war with no end. Whats the reason? What motivates such a war? What happens now?
Money. Oil. The rich and the poor. Is that all to the characters in this long war?
As a reader, we might not be able to do much, but a sense of awareness would be beneficial to us. Good read cause quite a few famed authors about Capitalism are in it. One of the interesting read was about a film maker in Iraq and how he was forced to video record beheading scenes. His account of the beheading really shines a different light on what the war has made certain life change dramatically.
