Happy Teachers' Day!
After working in the primary school for the past 2 months, the tiredness of teaching seems to have catch up with me.
I haven't been blogging much, so do bear with me while i do this long and lengthy one.
Today was Teachers' Day celebration at the Primary school. There were performances held by aspiring students and inspiration speeches made by the principal. As i am not an official teacher, (trainer i am, teacher am not--- Yoda version), i watched the performance beside the hall entrance while the teachers sat before the hall stage.
Inside me, i had this thought that the teachers do deserve their bit after being teachers/care-givers and so much for 365 days of the year.
And so, i sent a sms to my friends and siblings that are in the teaching career.
Apart from seeing the teachers in the school carrying hordes of gifts, i also managed to get some cards and gifts too. It is indeed touching to see that my little effort is recognize by my students.
:)

Cake given by a Primary 2 class.

A Primary 5 student.

Apparently i let the students hung out in the lab to do their project work. And they remembered it! Haha... so nice of them.

A card given by a Primary 1 kid. He has a sister in Primary 4...

Card and a keychain given by Primary 2. The envelope is quite badly damaged. Kids... Highly destructive in all forms.

Primary 2 students again.

Notice that the 'heart' shape on the right is a leaf!

Another Primary 2 kid.

He drew me as "Captain Mr. Pang" and had a comic strip on the right.

And another Primary 2 kid.

This is a (first name ) 50 sticker pack from Ikea given by a class. Now i can hand in my assignments with a sticker of my name.
I suspect its the form teacher cause i did her a LARGE favor some time ago, because i have not let any students know what my first name was.

This other teacher gave me these chocolates for Teachers' Day. Heard that she has been giving sweets to most of the teaching staff for the past few years. I also did a LARGE favor for her too...
Haha...
After all these cards and gifts, it brought me to recall a conversation i had with a teacher yesterday. He said that,
"Well.. If you really want to teach. You got to be willing to spend your time. "
And he pointed to a bag full of unmarked work done by the students that he is going home to mark.
It seems like to go on a teaching path is really a long a hard route and that the individual need to be focused to brave that route.
I need to have some thoughts about it.
Tomorrow, i am going to Johor to watch my Instructor's CO in Kluang. Going to meet Joanne and some old friends from Kluang too!
