whoa

Yeah.

Lots of people are blogging.

Last time featured Lao Zhar Bo.

Now, even Jack Neo also has one.

Blogs are a good avenue to voice out and speak freely. Great to see so many people have a blog.

Interesting to see whether if our ministers will have their blogs too. Totally disappointed at how p65 turns out to be so cluttered and so 'PAP' like. Ditch the group 'p65' and stop hanging out like a boy band!

A good example is NMP Siew Kum Hong that makes clear that his blog is political and will add in his own view on the topic.

So many blogs, so little time to read them all.

Raining...

This evening had a really long and hard rain. Though i was indoors, the temperature within my lecture room was chilling. There is no need to experience rain to understand the effects from it.

The rain often leaves me memories from Army days. Especially those rainy nights where i had to spend chilling nights with my platoon mates amongst the forest.

Th raindrops just creep from the head to the shoulders and seep under the clothings until it reaches to body. The cold touch from the raindrops chills the body and leaving the body slow to reaction. That awkward wet feeling makes the body slow and uneasy. Time seems to slow and the body follows along. That moment of lethargic feeling makes the mind heed to the environment.

Everything slows down.

Its a lovely feeling. Always leaves a glowing feeling within me.

After my tiring lesson throughout the day, i had dinner with friends at Botak Jones.

I had heard lots and lots of information about Botak Jones', but who is he!?

I might not have the chance to see him today, but after having a meal there, i didn't want to find out anymore! Cause the food leaves me speechless....

Teenage Mutant Night Turtles

*running with a bit of fever* but i should blog on.

Went out with the guys to catch TMNT.

Its a nonsensical fun movie.

The movie tries to make the characters look shady and mysterious, but ends up making them look like cartoon figures that are too clean. Even Splinter (the rat) looks funny.

The only action scene worth watching is the 'turtles VS turtles' action.

Worth watching since i always dreamt of being a turtle when i was a kid.

Some quiz...

Got this from Fishbones. Some of it is quite true. But then again, its too general to be really true.

Get to know yourself better

Your view on yourself:
You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision that usually appeals to both parties.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You like serious, smart and determined people. You don't judge a book by its cover, so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style. This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.

The seriousness of your love:
Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.

How do you view success:
You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career and nothing will stop you from trying.

What are you most afraid of:
You are afraid of having no one to rely on in times of trouble. You don't ever want to be unable to take care of yourself. Independence is important to you.

Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

Taken from here.

Another silly Superhero character...

Saw this super hero/super villian quiz. I can't help but just do it. The questions are VERY silly and definitely can be constructed much better.

I still prefer Batman than Superman... cause he wears a black colour underwear on his head rather than exposing it to the world with a red underwear.

Miss watching movies, and am having anxiety attacks from studying.

I can't stand it..

Reading news and news about the minister's pay rise debate, i can't help but give my thoughts about it.

The debate stands that the pay rise is to justify 'the need to attract talents that have left the politics for better pastures'.

The motion...

We should pay more money to ministers for their hard work and use it to attract new politicians

True. The salaries for the ministers do seem mediocre when it is benchmarked to other top professionals in the business sector. And i do admit, Singapore ministers DO WORK hard. And their efforts are always shown on how Singapore is able to progress to be among the best. (But please do not make that statement "Singapore is able to move from third world to first class nation", it is too big a gap to credit this to Singapore Ministers.) Some of them even had to do hip hop at Chingay parades.

The objection...

There are other motivations to be a Singapore minister.

The dedication, honour and pride of leading Singapore into greatness. Does it not mean anything? Over a million people will get to know your name and even want to know you. Whats the difference between a rock star and a minister? Although there wouldn't be crazy fans over a minister, the words of a minister can actually win masses and move lands.

Thats the power of a minister. Shouldn't a minister be proud of that power that the public entrusts?

NMP Siew Kum Hong makes a statement to remind us that apart from monetary issues, there are OTHER reasons why ministers become ministers. Read more here.

Even the US of A is shocked that Singapore is planning to pay the ministers. Read here.

Is our country going to be purely monetary driven government? Where is the moral authority heading to?

Asking for directions aka i need a drink

After alighting from a bus, i was approached by an "auntie". She was asking me the direction of Telok Blangah.

As i was never good with direction, i pointed her the MOST obvious way.

Along the road.

Back to the incident. After this encounter, it set a motion of thinking in my head.

Isn't life like a long journey? Walking walking walking.

Keep Walking...

Weird Dreams

Yesterday had the most weirdest dream.

I actually dreamt that i was a groom. And i was walking with the bride down the aisle to the altar to exchange vows. The church was filled with all of my friends. They were cheering me on as i walked with the bride by my side.

My feeling during that time was super happy. I felt that i was the most 'luckiest' fcuk on Earth.

However, i was curious on who the bride was. I turned around, and i saw that it was..... C!

The dream totally freaked me out. Long time since i have such a vivid dream, and never did it involved so much characters/friends. But why must it be a wedding ceremony? I haven't been bonking any girls and neither am i pursuing any girls. Why is C turned out to be the bride!?

Wedding is a symbolism of union. So who am i uniting with? or what am i going to be united with?

So many questions. So few answers. Could be my last night's vegetarian dinner.

Busy busy...

Been quite busy since its my first time going down to FO camp after my NS.

Able to manipulate my timings much better, i was able to view more and interact more with the freshmen and see how the FO committee get busy. Dwelling in between my student life and the CSCC camp, it sure is tiring.

:)

i miss having a proper camp. Those times where bathing is a luxury, camp food is super awful and that feel of heightened senses. And teamwork is key to everything.

I need some music in my life

My iPod shuffle has been faulty for weeks. So i have been spending "music-less" times on bus rides and while walking home.

It is quite peaceful to do walking/waiting without music. But sometimes, it just irks me without some vibes in my ears.

Currently, looking into a suitable MP3 player in my life. Getting a MP3 player is not like picking up a wife.

You get to choose the size, the quality and looks.

But in real life, LOVE strikes and mess it all up.

Ironic in life huh...

Can Cupid be merciful and do his magic on me...
